We all know that one area of our respective towns or cities that we’ve seen blossom from “not-so-happening” to the new “hot spot”. Beyond knowing where the best new restaurants are popping up, being able to anticipate this kind of growth, and invest accordingly, can pay off – big time.
Often, by the time most people notice this shift happening, the real estate market is already a few steps ahead, adjusted from the spike in demand.
That, however, is not the case in this instance. Touted as “the largest developable tract of downtown land east of the Mississippi”, The Bullstreet District is the up and coming area of Columbia. One mile from the USC campus, and one mile from the capital building, the BullStreet District is a whopping 181 acres of land with big plans. Picture the Southern charm of historic Columbia architecture, met with modern elements of industry, creativity, and recreation. The entire area around the Spirit Communications Park, home of the Fire Flies, is revamping with the youthful energy and ideas that are more reflective of Columbia’s vibrant population.
